Hydraulic calculation

New hydraulic calculation that reaches the result drastically faster (from 4 to 10 times faster than the previous calculation) and guarantees the convergence of the iterations.

Closed networks

It is finally possible to design sector networks that present closed paths. This new typology only concerns the design but does not involve differences in the hydraulic calculation. Also available is the new type of ducts to create rings or closed networks.

MAC version

After several reports of incompatibility of IrriPro with new generation MAC systems, with this version we have made profound changes that resolve this problem.

Non-irrigated area

New “non-irrigated area” function with which the user can indicate where the pipes should not pass. The system automatically considers the edges of the land as a “non-irrigated area” for main and secondary pipelines.

Change range

Generally the throw is shown with nominal values ​​and, after the hydraulic calculation, varies as a function of the pressure. The user now has the possibility to modify the range of the device up to 25% to take into account possible manual adjustments foreseen in the field in many models.

New report

The new report is now cumulative (of the entire system) of the hydraulic calculations with data also on pressure drops, speed and lengths of the sections. Furthermore, the list can be exported for a single sector or for the main pipeline only.

Updated Google Maps console

Due to a technical incompatibility introduced by a Google update, a new version of the Google Maps console included in the software has been released.

Emitter group

With the new version it is possible to introduce for each emitter and sprinkler all the fittings and accessories that make up the dispenser group.

TOOLTIP and reports

New tooltip which shows for each element of the network, in addition to the various hydraulic and geometric quantities, the continuous (side) and localized (node) pressure drop, the height with respect to the ground, nominal and calculated throw (sprinkler). New report with pressure drops, speed and cumulative length.

PDF import

Improved importing of images (even in high resolution) into the work area. It is finally possible to import files in PDF format.

Footer

New footer (with references of the designer, the client and indications of the project) exportable with the graphics.

The Rivulis and Netafim catalog has been updated.

Pump

Possibility of identifying the pump or lifting system necessary for the system. Once the system has been defined, IrriPro allows you to know all the data to identify the most suitable pump within a catalogue.

Operation graph

New chart that shows how the irrigation system and pump work together. Precise calculation of the duty point (pressure and flow rate values) given by the intersection between the system curve (for single or all shifts) and the pump curve.

Major Layers

New layer management for multiple images and imported CAD files. Now in IrriPro it is possible to move, rotate, scale and modify the transparencies of each individual layer. Directly in the work area the user can superimpose, move and scale multiple images and CAD drawings (both vector and raster files).

Alignment/fill

The automatic design of the network has been updated (for sprinklers/pop-ups/mini-sprinklers) which allows improving the alignment between the elements placed between neighboring sectors, increasing the filling of the elements within each sector and avoiding overlap between the devices.

Database

The IrriPro database has been updated with the introduction of the new brands Irritrol and Weltplast, and the updating of other manufacturers (Toro)

Tongue

New Romanian language introduced.

Pipe

Sizing

New pipe sizing function. In a dedicated window it is possible, depending on the current hydraulic conditions calculated by the hydraulic simulation, to automatically obtain the diameter values ​​for each category of pipeline or for the selected section.

PAN with mouse

By clicking on the central mouse button it is possible to use the PAN function without the need to recall the command from the side palettes.

Automatic insertion

The new Smart Wizard now allows you to insert valves, filters and pressure reducers for all sectors and with a single selectable option. These elements may be placed in the secondary pipeline relating to the sector.

Rivulis catalogue

Added approximately 6000 products from the Rivulis catalogue. IrriPro currently contains more than 30,000 items in its database including ducts, regulators, sprinklers, pop-ups, fittings, valves, accessories, special pieces and many other types of products from the most popular brands.

Vyrsa catalogue

Thanks to the continuous collaboration with our partners we continuously update the IrriPro database. The complete Vyrsa catalog has been introduced in this version.

Pre-sizing

Thanks to a sophisticated pre-sizing algorithm, the software automatically determines the diameter values ​​during the design of the network without any intervention by the user. This functionality occurs after the Smart Wizard is completed.

SMART Wizard

Thanks to the new Wizard called SMART it is possible to create multiple sectors in the same assignment operation (without declaring the number of sectors before the drawing). This new feature allows you to save a lot of time and avoids repeating the same operations for each sector.

Automatic creator

At the end of the Smart Wizard, the system automatically designs all the required sectors, creating a network including all the parts such as ducts, fittings and valves. The nodes of the main pipeline are automatically connected to the sectors according to altitude and proximity criteria.

Symmetric network

New option for center link for symmetric distribution. Possibility of feeding the sectors centrally or at one end of the header duct with a simple option selectable from the Wizard.

Shift management

Shift management through dedicated window. Possibility of managing each valve by inserting it into a specific shift. There is also the function that automatically generates all shifts by opening/closing one valve at a time.

Shift calculation

Now the hydraulic calculation can be performed for a single shift or cumulatively, i.e. for all shifts in sequence so as to have an overall result. At the end of the calculation, the overall thematic map is shown (showing the uniformity results of all shifts in a single view).

Shift map

To better identify the various shifts, the shift map is available with the coloring of the sectors by belonging to each shift.

Google Maps

Kml and Kmz import

Import of files in Kml and Kmz format with simultaneous import of the color graphic elements contained in the file and processing of the survey and satellite image relating to the GIS position.

Level curves

Choice of the equidistance value of the contour lines before the survey. In the international system it is possible to choose between the values ​​of 1, 2, 5, 10 and 25 meters, while in the Anglo-Saxon and American systems between 2, 5, 10, 25 and 50 feet.

Symbols

New vector symbols of the graphic elements (for a quality representation at any zoom) with the possibility of changing the dimensions according to preferences.

CAD and various improvements

Improvements for various functions: CAD file import, label management, calculation of areas and rainfall intensity, division of areas (for concave shapes), export of the CAD file (new legend, symbols and layers).

Sector legend

Work area with new legend (which can be moved to any position) and new information tables by sector where area, dispenser models, number and length of lateral pipes, flow rate/pressure, row spacing, spacing and shift are reported.

Zooming with mouse

New zooming function with the mouse: it is now possible to easily move and enlarge parts of the plant or a part of the land by simply operating the mouse wheel.

PDF export

New PDF export in vector format where the elements and pipes are represented in scale and in professional quality for printing in any size including legend, label, information table. Ability to hide layers from the work area.

Database

Big systems

The application has been optimized and the functionality improved to design large systems more quickly and cover large areas more easily. For example, once the area has been automatically divided into many portions, it is possible to assign/select (cross the area of ​​influence) the sector and have the angle value automatically filled in.

Label valves and sectors

Automatic label insertion for valves and sectors. An internal algorithm automatically displays the sector and valve number based on the general element index and insertion position. A valid help to identify the element and operate on it.

Area division

“Divide area” function to divide an existing area into equal parts by defining one or two directions. Thanks to this new functionality, each area can be divided into sectors and the system can then be inserted within them. Now a new procedure allows you to quickly assign a portion of the area to the sector during the wizard.

Calculate sectors

“Calculate number of sectors” function to calculate, based on the flow rate available at the source, the surface area, type and distribution of the dispensers, etc. the number of sectors into which to divide a surface. Other parameters (including plant requirements) allow you to determine the number and duration of shifts.

Model color

Different color assignment for each sprinkler model. This allows immediate identification of the models and the areas in which they are used.

Perimeter sprinklers

Possibility of defining perimeter sprinkler models, even in the case of multiple contiguous sectors.

Text editor

A new text editor to insert text or modify existing text, by color, orientation, font and size. It is also possible to intervene on labels. The text and labels can be managed with a dedicated layer.

Pipelines under pressure

Color indication of the pipes under pressure (water path) once the hydraulic calculation has been performed: the pipes with a color other than gray will be under pressure.

Coverage options

New preferences window to manage the following aspects: transparency circles of the sprinkler/popup coverage, to activate/deactivate the continuity of the sprinkler/popup circles on the edges of the ground in adjacent sectors, to modify the size of the supply nodes and the source.

CAD layers

Importing the CAD file with text and colors. The exported CAD file now contains new layers for main + secondary ducts, header + supply wings and one dedicated to sprinkler circles and text.

Survey with G Maps

Thanks to a new interpolation and quota processing algorithm, the survey function via Google Maps is now faster in processing, more accurate in creating the 3D model and produces an improved representation.

Manufacturer catalogues

In version 3.9 the new catalogs of Vyrsa, Toro, Palaplast, InstalPlast and Naandanjain are available.

Database

Finally it is possible to insert new elements into the database. Through a dedicated window for each type of element, new fittings, dispensers, ducts, etc. can be added.

3D graph

The representation of the 3D graph of hydraulic quantities has been improved and speeded up. The window will open faster (optimized processing even for large systems) and a color-graded image will be shown.

Performance

Deep optimization of the hydraulic design and calculation process which now allows large networks to be designed and engineered (even over 5 million dispensers). The improvements in calculation performance make achieving the result faster.

Direct printing

The new print functionality allows you to print directly from the work area. It is possible to print all the content or some selected layers.

Towards pipelines

The pipes, which have one direction (which represents the direction in which the water travels in the pipe), can also be reconnected in the opposite direction. The software will automatically change the direction making it compatible with the new connection.

Symmetrical arrangement

New options now allow, in the case of symmetrical schemes, to indicate the direction of the laterals, the position and the direction of the header pipe. It will therefore be possible to define the point from which the header pipe passes and the relative direction.

Thematic map

A new color of the thematic map distinguishes areas with too high pressure/flow rate from others with too low pressure/flow rate. New colors indicate areas with high uniformity versus areas with acceptable uniformity and those where uniformity is unacceptable.

Database update

From version 3.8.5 the new Hunter, Rainbird and K-Rain catalogs are available in the IrriPro database. Please remember that the Freeware version has a very small database and that these catalogs are only present in the licensed versions.

Languages

Through a dedicated console it is now possible to change the language to one of those available as well as let the software choose it automatically based on the operating system language. Improved translation of Spanish and Russian, introduced new Ukrainian language.

Rain and gardening

Improved insertion of sprinklers and popups for more advanced and simple management of sprinkler systems and gardening. It is possible to insert the devices in sequence, being able to appreciate the wet circle and the coverage angle before fixing the position.

Range

For sprinklers, popups and sprays, the program will show the range and calculate the correct coverage angle based on the position of the device with respect to the edge of the ground. The range (for static popups) will depend on the coverage angle.

Change range

It is possible to manually modify, for one or more devices, the range, the coverage angle and the angle offset. Once the element to be used has been chosen from the database, the software will take into consideration, for the hydraulic calculation and rain coverage, whether the device has a fixed or variable angle, whether it is static or dynamic.

Coverage angle

IrriPro, in addition to modifying the coverage angle of the device based on the boundaries of the land, allows, in the case of neighboring or nearby edges, to maintain the continuity of the coverage. As shown in the figure, the wet circles of the sprinklers of the two adjacent sectors are drawn with a full 360° angle unlike the others on the edge.

Rainfall map

The new rainfall map indicates with progressively darker colors the areas that experience greater rainfall intensity compared to those with lower intensity. This representation will also show the range calculated as a function of pressure.

Pressure and range

The sprinkler range is a function of pressure. In addition to the color, the thematic map will also show the coverage (or circular sector) actually achieved by the device. The figure shows a comparison of two areas of the system subjected to different pressures. In this way the overlap of the wetted area and the rainfall intensity will also be evident.

Z quota

It is now possible to indicate the share of each element of the network. The user can specify the depth of the pipe to the ground surface or the height of the sprinkler. For example, in a system with sprinkler irrigation, the sprinkler columns. The Z level (negative or positive if above or below the ground) will be taken into consideration in the hydraulic calculation.

Triangular arrangement

It is now possible to choose the new triangular arrangement (QUINCUNX) instead of the rectangular one. In addition to defining the number of laterals per row (e.g. double, triple wing, etc.), the arrangement can be triangular starting from the even laterals or the odd laterals.

CAD import

Improved the CAD file import process. Now many more elements of the DXF file will be imported to a dedicated IrriPro layer, including text, circles, polylines and many other things. This procedure also allows you to create the 3D model of the terrain by taking into consideration the quoted points and contour lines contained in the imported DXF file.

Legend of diameters

A completely new color legend now allows you to distinguish the diameter of the pipes from the value of 16 mm (3/8″) to that of 710 mm (28″). Colors and diameter ranges can be changed by the user.
