IrriPro, INNOVATION SELECTED BY ITALY OF INNOVATORS
The first 259 selected innovations that will take part in the Italia degli Innovatori project were published in May. The number of innovations selected compared to those proposed (around 3000) shows the high quality of the state of innovation in Italy. The Italia degli Innovatori project was promoted by the Ministry of Public Administration and Innovation and brings together the best innovations developed and produced in Italy capable of representing our country in the world during international events (such as the Shanghai Expo 2010). The next institutional missions scheduled for 2011 are:
– in China (from 19th to 23rd September);
– in Russia (October, dates to be defined).
The “Italy of Innovators” initiative involves the organization of high-level meetings between participants and the main Chinese and Russian institutions and business organizations in order to promote awareness of Italian innovations among an audience of decision makers who can appreciate, qualify and enhance the innovations presented.
The exhibitions and events organized will talk about Italian innovation, past and present, highlighting the cultural, scientific and technological vitality of our country thanks to the selected companies. We remember that already in 2010, during the universal fair, we received the recognition of “Selected Innovator Expo Shanghai 2010”

With over 70 million visitors expected, 242 participants from countries and international organisations, 5.28 km2 of exhibition area and 6 months of events and activities, the Shanghai Expo offered a unique showcase to showcase national excellence in a dedicated pavilion. in the economic and financial capital of China. An event marked by successful numbers, with over 500 thousand visitors to the exhibition set up in the Italian pavilion, 84 innovators present, among the 265 selected, who, in approximately 260 business to business meetings, met 196 Chinese companies.
Irriworks is satisfied with the meetings held with various Chinese companies and with the prospects that the Chinese market offers, especially in the north-west regions, characterized by limited water resources.
